How will I receive my certificate?2018-01-26T17:14:00+00:00

Professionals will be able to download a PDF copy of their certificate directly from the learning portal. You will be presented with an option to download your certificate after the completion of the final module (and coaching sessions). What is the difference between a certificate of completion, achievement and competency?2018-01-26T17:15:12+00:00

Each type of certificate progressively certifies the level of understanding of the knowledge you have gained and demonstrated during the programme.

Certificates of Completion show that you have completed all of the learning modules of the programme and attempted all of the assessments. You are expected to have gained the knowledge and understanding of the concepts covered in the programme.

Certificates of Achievement show that you have successfully completed all of the learning modules and satisfactorily completed all of the assessments. Through your coaching sessions you are expected to have gained more clarity and a better understanding of the concepts covered in the programme. Your certificate includes your overall achievement grade in the assessments.

Certificates of Competency show that you have successfully completed all of the learning modules and satisfactorily completed all of the assessments. Through your coaching sessions you are expected to have gained more clarity and a better understanding of the concepts covered in the programme. You are also expected to have produced a credible deliverable which has been reviewed over the course of the coaching sessions. Your certificate includes your overall achievement grade in assessments. Your certificate also demonstrates that your competency has been independently validated by your coach and you have successfully applied the knowledge gained during the programme.

Are deliverables graded in the same way as the programme assessments?2018-01-29T16:49:11+00:00

Final deliverables from programmes are not graded as their value lies in your capability development and how you used this deliverable to apply the knowledge gained to your organisation to produce a valuable outcome. The coaching sessions provide the opportunity for those on Excel or Elite programmes to get feedback from the professional coaches to make sure you are moving in the right direction and to bring credibility to your deliverables.

Why are deliverables made part of the programmes?2017-12-04T16:28:09+00:00

It is common that many training programmes/workshops have no outcomes or deliverables associated with them. At the Centre of Excellence in B2B Marketing we regard deliverables as a means of ensuring that the learning objectives were met, understood and applied within the company. We believe this approach transforms our learning programmes by developing competency in applying learnings and by delivering a return on investment in learning.

Can I repeat the programme assessments?2018-01-29T16:50:21+00:00

Programme assessments are based on a single attempt only, so it is important to ensure you have fully completed and understood the learning content in the module. We recommend you ensure that you are in a suitable quiet environment without distractions and have the time available to complete the assessment.

For those that would like the option to repeat assessments to gain a higher grade, this is possible for an additional fee of £125 (+VAT where applicable). You can contact the support team for more information on how to access this option.

How are the assessments graded and what is the scale?2018-01-29T16:51:13+00:00

Professionals will receive an achievement grade at the end of each individual module assessment; with the overall programme grade being calculated upon completion of all modules. This overall grade will appear on the certificates of achievement or competency.

Final programme marks are graded using the Open University grading scale:

  • 85% and over receive a First Class Honour
  • 70-84% receive a Second Class Upper
  • 55-69% receive a Second Class Lower
  • 40-54% receive a Third Class
How are the assessments marked and weighted?2017-11-20T17:56:36+00:00

The assessment questions have 1 mark for each correct answer (multiple choice answers may therefore have several marks awarded). Negative scoring is not applied for incorrect answers. Each module will be worth either 20 or 40 marks, with your result for each module being totalled for your overall mark and grade for the programme.

What format do the assessments take?2017-12-04T16:53:10+00:00

The assessments take the form of a number of questions designed to enable the learner to apply the learning gained to a given business situation. The question types can include multiple-choice, fill in the blanks, true or false, or drag and drop. These are all marked assessments with different weighting based on the complexity and type of the question. The only exception being the mock assessment where it is specified as a sample assessment that is not graded or included in your final results.

When can I sit the programme assessments?2017-11-20T17:44:31+00:00

Assessments can be taken at the end of every module. These are single attempt assessments so make sure you are confident that you have completed the learning module and are ready to take the assessment.

What are the programme assessments?2018-01-29T16:53:06+00:00

Programme assessments are included at the end of each module. The learning content must be completed and you must be confident you have understood the learning content before attempting the assessment as the assessments are a single attempt only. Only after completing the learning module and the associated assessment, will you be able to access the next module.

The assessments include questions designed to test recall of the learning content, but also include questions that require you to apply knowledge gained through learning content in a real business scenario. This provides a better measure of the understanding of the learning content and the knowledge gained during the programme module.

The assessments form part of our reinforced learning experience and are a key component of a learning module.

Do I have to view all of the content in a programme to complete it?2017-12-04T16:54:51+00:00

All programme content, activities and assessments must be completed by you to be marked as complete in the learner dashbpard. Any associated/follow up activities such as issuing certificates will occur after the completion of the programme.

Why can I not view certain elements of the programme in my browser window?2017-12-04T16:58:12+00:00

Our courses have been developed with HTML5 in mind – please ensure that you are using an up-to-date version of your browser (i.e. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, etc.).

This approach is designed to appeal to people with different learning preferences/ habits. The programme content includes instructional learning content which is audio-enabled. It includes interactive elements to keep professionals engaged with the learning content. Each module also includes animated videos to deliver the learning content.

How is the programme structure designed?2017-12-05T16:21:01+00:00

Each module consists of 7 elements that are: Module introduction, Instructional learning content, Case study video example, Learning activities, End of module review, Further reading materials, and Scenario based assessments. This programme structure is designed to facilitate all the different styles of learning and provides a reinforced learning experience.

I have an issue/query regarding a particular section of content in my programme – where can I ask someone about this?2017-11-20T16:52:55+00:00

A reply can be expected approximately within 24hours of submission of the question, between Monday to Friday. What are the deliverables mentioned in the programmes?2017-12-05T16:43:42+00:00

The deliverables vary from programme to programme, but they are a vital component of the how we have structured our learning programmes. One of the fey factors that sets the Centre of Excellence programmes apart from other e-learning/ traditional short training programmes is that our e-learning programmes are practical and outcome focused. The deliverables designed into each learning programme make that possible. The different activities that you undertake in each module, using the templates we have developed, build over the course of the programme to produce a credible deliverable for you and for your business.

It also acts as proof that you have not only gained the knowledge but also applied that knowledge to a real world situation to develop deliverables that can be used within the business. It is a win-win situation for both you and your company.

What is the format of the e-learning programmes?2017-10-20T12:13:45+00:00

The programmes are divided into learning modules, with each module consisting of different types of learning instructional content. We understand that every individual has a different way of learning; textual, visual, audible. Therefore the programmes include a mix of instructional text, imagery and visuals, and videos. All content has supplementary audio to further enhance the learning experience.
